12 September 2025: Boscombe Pier to Bournemouth Pier Circular Walk

Have you ever wondered what the distance is between Boscombe Pier and Bournemouth Pier? I have – so I thought I’d take the opportunity to cover the entire distance between the two piers and share the results in a video.

Luckily, Jasmin had time that day to join me. We turned our endeavour into a full circular walk, starting at the Boscombe Chine Gardens. Boscombe Pier to Bournemouth Pier Circular Walk We then followed the promenade from Boscombe Pier to Bournemouth Pier, and saw the Lower Gardens and Bournemouth Square.

This time’s pub stop is The Brass Haus, styled after the traditional bierkellers of Germany.

The return journey took us over the East Cliff back to where we started.

11 September 2025: New video

A new video is coming tomorrow (Friday) at 1pm BST! I’ll be taking a walk along the Bournemouth seafront. Hopefully you’re as excited as I am. Yay! 🥳 See you then. Bournemouth seafront

22 November 2024: Schmallenberg Upper Town to Old Town via Mount Wilzenberg

Experience one of rural Germany’s hidden gems: the town of Schmallenberg in the Sauerland mountains. I gathered some friends to hike up Mount Wilzenberg, known as ‘the Holy Mountain of the Sauerland’.

I’ll also show you around Schmallenberg’s old town and some of its sights. On top of that, this episode features a local pub, where we’ll meet the humorous landlord, who has an interesting nickname. In fact, nicknames play a certain role in this video. Enjoy! Schmallenberg Upper Town to Old Town via Mount Wilzenberg

21 November 2024: New episode tomorrow

Get ready for the latest episode, premiering tomorrow at 1pm GMT.

I’ll be visiting a neat small town in Germany, and gathering some friends to hike up the area’s most significant mountain. There’ll be plenty of things to explore so check back tomorrow from 1pm for the link to the video. You can watch it exclusively here on my website or my YouTube channel. Cheers! 🥾🍺 Schmallenberg sign

11 November 2024: Bournemouth Remembrance Sunday Service and Parade

Many people attended this year’s Remembrance Sunday Ceremony, including me. I took footage of the arrival of the participants, the Act of Remembrance, the National Anthem, the Laying of Wreaths and the Parade. Remembrance Sunday in Bournemouth

20 September 2024: South Haven Point to Peveril Point via South West Coast Path and Ballard Down

🎥 New video. 🎥 This walk really had it all: beaches, a picturesque village, a Victorian seaside town, rolling hills, and spectacular clifftop views. There was also a bit of history to explore, and to make it more interesting, even the weather presented some variety on this Sunday in May. My route mostly followed the South West Coast Path, with a detour via Ballard Down. 🥾🍺 South Haven Point to Peveril Point

19 September 2024: 🚨 New video tomorrow 🚨

Keep your eyes peeled for my new video that’ll be published tomorrow at 1pm BST. I visited three of the four locations you can see on the signpost. (Hint: ‘WC’ wasn’t one of them. 😂) South Haven Point to Peveril Point

18 May 2024: Boscombe Cliff Gardens

The Boscombe Cliff Gardens on a Saturday morning. It was such a calm and relaxed atmosphere and I met a sleepy goat! 🐐 For more pictures, please have a look at my WhatsApp, Instagram or Facebook channels. Boscombe Cliff Gardens I’ll be going on another walk here in Dorset tomorrow, but it will take some time before the episode about it is ready to watch. In the meantime, you could watch the video about my recent trip to Tenerife, if you haven’t already. Have a great weekend, everyone!

10 May 2024: A Walk Up Montaña Chayofita, Playa de las Américas, Tenerife

I went for a walk outside my usual area once again, and this time, I visited the resort of Playa de las Américas on the island of Tenerife, located in the Canary Islands of Spain. A Walk Up Montaña Chayofita, Playa de las Américas, Tenerife Jasmin and I walked up Montaña Chayofita, a 371ft high mountain, which offered spectacular views of Playa de las Américas and Los Cristianos. We started this walk at Estadio Antonio Domínguez Alfonso, climbed up the mountain, and finished at Las Vistas Beach.

We visited the Brahms & Liszt pub at the end of our trip, which is named after an expression with a secret meaning in the Cockney rhyming slang! Watch the video to find out more about this tropical island walk and Playa de las Américas.

5 March 2024: London excursion

In October, I had my first Walks & Pubs excursion together with my wife Jasmin. We had a great time seeing many of London’s main sights and paid only £8.10 per person to get around on foot and via the London Underground. It was a fantastic experience! 🥾🚆💂🏙️ London on a Budget

2 March 2024: Swanage Beach to Durlston Castle

In September, my friend Kevin and I went on a spontaneous walk in Swanage and Durlston. First, we explored the beautiful beaches and the charming town centre of Swanage. Afterwards, we headed up to Durlston Castle and The Great Globe. We were blessed with glorious weather and enjoyed the breathtaking views across Durlston Bay. Although I did not make a video on that occasion, I did take a couple of impressive pictures. Feel free to check them out. Swanage Beach to Durlston Castle

24 February 2024: Bournemouth Queen’s Park to St Leonards

During my second walk from Bournemouth Queen’s Park to St Leonards, I came across various landscapes and sceneries. The route was a mix of a beautiful park in a bustling town, busy roads, an international airport, quaint villages in the countryside, an abandoned mill, the longest river in Dorset, and a dense forest. At the end of this 11mi walk, I found a pub where I could sit and enjoy a cold pint. 🍻 Bournemouth Queen’s Park to St Leonards

18 February 2024: Looking back

Until a new episode of Walks & Pubs goes online, I’d like to look back at the episodes of 2023. The first was my ‘test walk’. It is the first video I ever made and looks very amateurish. Hopefully, you’ll be able to see that I improved over time. 🤞

13 February 2024: Back from the break

I’ve returned from my winter break, and I’m excited to share that I received a new hat and a better camera at Christmas. 🧢📷 I still have video footage from a walk I took in Dorset last year and I’m planning to create another episode of Walks & Pubs soon. Recently, I took another walk at a beautiful location. Can you guess where this place is? 🏝 I got a new camera.
