My second excursion for Walks & Pubs took me to the island of Tenerife. As many of you know, Tenerife is a part of the Canary Islands in Spain.

Short walk with great views
This walk was my shortest one so far, but it still offered great views over parts of the island and its volcanic landscape, the Atlantic Ocean and the resorts of Playa de las Américas and Los Cristianos.

Starting point
I was accompanied by Jasmin on this walk which we started at Estadio Antonio Domínguez Alfonso, a multi-purpose arena in Playa de las Américas that’s home to the fifth Spanish division football team CD Marino.

Our goal
Our goal was to walk up Montaña Chayofita, admittedly not the highest mountain with only 371ft. Still, it was nice to see a little bit more of Tenerife than just the resorts and who knows, we might even make it up Mount Teide one day, the highest mountain in Spain which is also located on Tenerife.

Lots of things to see and do
During this journey, we saw busy holiday resorts, volcanic landscapes and beaches in the beautiful south of Tenerife. At the end of the walk, there had to be a pub and we decided that Brahms & Liszt in Playa de las Américas should be our destination.
